Hi there, I’m That Dog Kid, but if you like, you can call me Charlie or Harper!
I’m 23 years old and currently helping my mother raise and train 2 puppies in Southeast England. I’m married, but my wife and I currently live apart (with her in America), although I hope to emigrate there one day soon!
Growing up I was ‘the animal kid’, learning everything I could from books, nature programs, and limited google-fu. For a long time, I planned to be a marine biologist when I grew up – undersea creatures were, and still are, fascinating to me.
Life, as it so often does, happened, and I never ended up going to university, let alone becoming a marine biologist. I’ll spare a (probably) long and (definitely) sad story, but recently I’ve re-discovered a part of me that was buried for years. Like a determined terrier digging through the soil to the rich prize of my owner’s tulip bulbs, I’ve shoveled the soil off of my interest in dogs and all their wonderful quirks, and now I’m toting my pet pastime around in my jaws, eagerly showing it to the exasperated humans around me.
